At this time of the year is not the time to be planning only how to eat rice and chicken and how to buy a new clothes.
It’s also a time to evaluate your life and take inventory of your life for the year that is drawing towards its close.
By December 31st a lots of you will stay awake till 12am just to shout I made it. And you start sending happy new year messages to friends and family.
Listen to me dear friends.
The next time you tell someone Happy New Year pause for a second and ask yourself:
WHAT DID I DO WITH IT?
What did I do with the year that just passed?
WHAT DID I SPENT THAT YEAR ON?
Every New Year is a new chapter.
We look so excited about new year, But the question is : What happened to the last one?
How much of it that I wasted watching Television, being with people who have no interest in success, being involved in habits that didn’t improve my life or my body?
I know by now most of you are feeling bad. Seeing how you have wasted your year.
But the good news is that, you can make the best out of this coming year
Through adequate planning
Like the popular saying goes
If you fail to plan, You’re planning to fail already.
Habakkuk 2:2 says: write the vision and make it plain on the table so he that run with it may read.
Don’t wait until January 1st before you start that your usual normal verbal new year resolution.
I will not drink again
I will not smoke again
I will not do this
I will not do that
e. t. c
Before January 15 you found yourself doing the same old stuffs again.*
My dear friends.
Get a pen and paper and Set your GOALS for 2020.
Remember our text today. If writing it wasn’t that important. The bible wouldn’t have said WRITE IT PLAIN ON THE TABLE.
A wise man once said.
A written GOALS is half achieved.
Write it down and Prayerfully review it everyday and see wonders.
Thanks and God bless you all.
I wish you the very best in 2020.
